School Halloween Parties

Well, here are the pics from the girls' Halloween parties today at school...

Alanna made a Halloween cat out of veggies for her party.
I was able to get out of work a little early so I could go to their parties.
Well, hopefully there will be another post tomorrow because we have an exciting party planned for the girls.
Don't worry everyone, keep checking my blog. I am going to try posting later today. The girls have Halloween parties at school today. I have to work today and I've been up since 3:22am when Makenna decided to give me an early Halloween scare. She came into my room and all I remember is waking up, jumping to Brad's side of the bed and screaming, "What!?!? Who is it?? Oh, Makenna, you scared me again!" She has a knack for scaring me right out of my sleep some nights. Sometimes she comes in because she doesn't feel well, or usually she comes in when she is sleep walking and she just stands there like a ghost, but tonight I guess she needed my pillow. Anyhow, after that adrenaline rush I wasn't able to go back to sleep and now I'm heading off to work. Have a great day!!

Alanna and Cali

This is what I woke up to find in the living room this morning:

"Here princess, do you want some?"

Alanna informed me, "Whenever I eat an omelette Cali curls up by me because she loves the cheese."

Chilli Cook Off 2009

The girls danced at the Annual Chilli Cook Off today. Afterwards, they carved pumpkins and painted each other's faces. It was a cold, windy, rainy day so after the cook off the girls and I went to Starbucks and sat by the fireplace with our drinks. Brad spent the day in Newcastle siding his mom's house.

This is Makenna before she even saw how her sister painted her face.

Murder Mystery Party

Last night Brad and I went to a Murder Mystery Party hosted by our friends, Luke and Amanda. We had so much fun, it was a great time! I've never enjoyed dressing up for Halloween when I was a kid but, it sure was a lot of fun to play dress up with all the other "grown ups" there.

Umm, yeah, I'm not sure what this is about; something must have been hilarious.
Oh, yeah, and just in case you were wondering....it was the crazy clown that killed The Count!

Doggie Dress Up

Alanna has spent the last 3 days dressing the dogs. She has quite the imagination when it comes to fashion, even when it is dressing and accessorizing her dogs. I'm not too sure the dogs like it, but they tolerate it.

Broken Trees and Sick Kids

Broken trees and sick kids, what a sad day. The wet snow we got overnight broke all of our trees. The girls still aren't feeling well; I'm doubting they will go to school tomorrow. What a day, what a day.

Second Snow of the Season

Second snow of the season- good for Sunday football, bad for our trees. We got a couple inches of very, very heavy wet snow. It weighed down all the branches on all our trees. Some of the tree branches are touching the ground. It's still snowing a little this morning, but it is supposed to be light snow this morning and be a high of 40 degrees today. Hopefully, the snow will melt off quickly!
It's a great day to stay inside and read a book or watch tv, or take care of 2 sick kids. Makenna has had a stomach ache and nausea since Saturday night and starting early Sunday morning Alanna has had a sore throat and a fever. They will both be staying home today. I was scheduled to work today, however, on Friday they called to say they wouldn't need me to come in because it was going to be a slow day. We will see what tomorrow brings.
