Today was Super Bowl Spirit Day at school for the girls. And, yes, we know the Broncos didn't make it to the Super Bowl but the girls didn't want to wear any other team. We bleed orange and blue! They had a lot of fun with painting their faces and their hair (I had to work today and they told their dad I said it was okay to paint themselves). Fortunately, he thought they looked cute and he took some pictures. At least I have something to blog about!

Haven't blogged recently
I know it has been awhile since I've blogged. There really hasn't been to much to blog about recently. We are making more progress on the living room. When it is completed I will post some pics. Thanks for checking our blog! I WILL post again!

Makenna's First Band Concert
Makenna played in her first band concert tonight. They sounded really good, better than we probably sounded in fifth grade.
Unfortunately, the concert was held in the school gym. So here is what we saw of her concert:
Can YOU see Makenna?
Yes, we were pretty sure that was her up there. Whether or not she played, though, we'll just have to take her word for it.
Just kidding, I am sure she played. She practices alot and is a very dedicated band student.
Like Brad said, "I guess we didn't come to SEE them play, we came to HEAR them play."
AMEN! I passed!
YAY!! I finally finished my online class, and I passed my test on my first try!! The test only took me about 8 hours or so to complete; that's almost as long as it took me to go through the entire course work. I am sooo glad to be finished with that. I guess I will only revel in my joy for a short time because now I have to go take the ACLS class (that will probably be even harder). Well, I finished just in time to go pick up the girls from school. Better be going!
I've been busy
Sorry I haven't posted anything lately. I have been really busy with my online telemetry course. I worked on taking the final test yesterday for 4 hours and finally decided that I was confused. So, today I have an appointment to go in and talk to the instructor. (Darn QT intervals!)
Anyway, not much has changed with the wall. Brad did spray some texture on the wall last night but it doesn't really look much different. Hopefully he can get it finished up this weekend. Of course, we still need a tv to hang on the wall. He will probably get the wall finished and we won't have a tv to put up. Who knows, maybe we will have to hang a picture, a really big picture that we can arrange the furniture around so we can admire all the hard work Brad went to so we could have a new wall!
Hopefully I will finish this stinking test today so I can get busy taking pictures and blogging! Wish me luck!

A Visit with Great Grandma and June and Harold
Saturday afternoon when Alanna was finished with dance practice we headed over to Newcastle. Great Grandma Hein and June and Harold were visiting. We had supper and opened some Christmas presents and played cards.
A picture of the girls with Great Grandma Hein.
While we were there the girls wanted to ride, I mean DRIVE, the 4wheelers. Once they got a taste of driving those ATVs over Christmas break they can't get enough of it and it is the first thing they asked about when we told them we were going to Grandma and Grandpa's for the weekend. Like Brad said today while we were watching them drive circles around us, "They sure are growing up fast."
When we got home, Brad got to work on the wall. Here is what it looks like now:
