A Busy Weekend!
We had a very long, busy day yesterday. Brad and Makenna travelled to Casper for the Science Olympiad and I stayed in town with Alanna for her first AAU volleyball tournament.
Alanna at her very first volleyball game. Her team placed 4th out of 5. It was fun to watch them play and improve with each game. She had a lot of fun and she is NOT afraid to go after the ball!! It was a very long day of playing, reffing, and sitting. We were there from 8am-5pm; I didn't even play and I was worn out.
Makenna showing off her Science Olympiad medals. She placed in all three of her events- first for her trebuchet, second in anatomy, and third in chemistry. Her school placed third overall, their first placement in the Science Olympiad in five years! Brad and Makenna got on the bus at 5:15am and got home just before 9 last night. Needless to say, we were all exhausted by the end of the day.

New dining set!
We got our new table and chairs yesterday! We bought them from American Furniture Warehouse while we were in Colorado two weeks ago and they delivered it yesterday. It matches our wine rack and other furniture in the living room.
Vegan Tater Tot Casserole
Mmmm...this was so tasty! Tater tot casserole is such a good comfort food! You can find the recipe here.
Valentine's Weekend
On Valentine's weekend Brad and I drove to Loveland where we ran in the Sweethearts Classic 4 mile road race. It was so nice to run outside, even though it was pretty windy. After the race on Saturday we drove up to Estes Park where we got massages, ate dinner, and stayed at the Silver Moon Inn. Unfortunately, Saturday night I came down with a sore throat.
Sunday we drove to Broomfield where Brad worked Monday-Wednesday and I got over my cold. It was a nice get away from the daily grind. This was the first time I have ever left the girls at home during the school year/dance season.
Getting ready to run!
Hummus pizza with kalamata olives, tomatoes, and basil at Poppy's in Estes Park.
